We believe this is the most shocking story on the EU we’ve been involved with

Four reports in, and next week’s exposés will be even more incredible

Here is why we’ve done this and why we invite your support

Six weeks ago we started an investigation. At the time we had no idea just what we were going to find. Today we can tell readers that the mass of evidence we now have is the largest we have ever assembled for any series of reports we have published in the last 10 years.

This is a story which has shocked us – something we didn’t think would be possible after 10 years of researching and reporting on the EU, Brexit, and the opportunities ahead for a sovereign, independent United Kingdom.

We never once thought we would have to do this in our work, but in one of our reports next week we will be pixellating and blurring some of our photographic evidence. The original version will only be available by clicking to say you have read the warning.

The story begins…

After weeks of research we finally set the scene for readers on Tuesday 18 March, with a recap of how the UK’s fishermen were ‘thrown overboard’ in the UK’s scramble to exit the EU with some form of agreement. The agreement happened, but the cost was the total betrayal of our fishermen. Facts4EU produced a great many reports on our fishing industry – before and after the Referendum – and we highlighted just some of what had gone before.

Then last week we started revealing the ways in which EU fishermen have been taking advantage of the UK marine authorities’ apparent indifference at UK ports and showed how they are offloading their catches from UK waters directly into refrigerated lorries bound for the continent, with no checks.

Our fish, taken from our waters, being craned from EU boats straight into containerised lorries without even touching British soil, on the way to France, Spain, and other EU countries.

In this new series we are going even further and deeper.

The UKFC – For a sea-change in the fortunes of our fishermen and our coastal communities

The need to act

By Wednesday last week we had decided we must do more than simply report. We decided it was time to act.

After consulting all the fishermen who had been helping us to compile our evidence against the EU fishing fleet and against the UK’s marine authorities, it was agreed that Facts4EU, with additional support from CIBUK, should set up a new campaign group to publicise the reports we were producing and to campaign in practical ways to change the disgraceful conditions under which our fishermen have been forced to operate. Our Chairman started calling all Facts4EU’s political and media contacts.

Our initiative has been given even greater urgency by the increasing talk in Brussels about the renewal of the current UK-EU fisheries agreement, which is due to be negotiated starting in a few months’ time. It seems that once again the EU will demand surrender by the Starmer government or they will discuss none of the other issues on which he is keen to forge agreements, including that of defence.

The launch of the UK Fisheries Campaign

So it was that on Wednesday 26 March 2025 we launched ‘the UK Fisheries Campaign’.

The UKFC is a non-partisan, not-for-profit association dedicated to exposing the truth about what has happened to the UK’s fishermen and what the EU fishing fleet has been doing, with the seeming complicity of the UK’s marine authorities. The overall objective is to achieve a vastly-improved situation for our fishermen and for the coastal communities from which they operate.

TV’s GB News are backing our fishermen!

Yes, on Thursday we were able to announce the following. We are very grateful to Martin.

EXCLUSIVE! TV’s ‘Mr Farming’ becomes TV’s Mr Farmin’ ‘n’ Fishin’!

Martin Daubney of GB News says “I back our fishermen all the way!”

The UK Fisheries Campaign is delighted to announce that TV’s Martin Daubney has agreed to highlight our campaign on television. Whether it’s on his afternoon show or when he is hosting ‘Farage’ at 7pm, Martin’s a very popular presenter on GB News – Britain’s fastest-growing news channel. In particular he has become well-known for taking up the cause of British farmers. Now he is going to do the same for our fishermen.

We will shortly be revealing days and times when you can ‘catch’ Martin presenting the incredible stories we have, with live interviews, clandestinely-shot videos, and hard-hitting questions to those in power. Some of this will make your blood boil, some will make you proud to be British, and some will simply inform and entertain you.

What all of them will do is bring to the surface the totemic issue of our great tradition of fishing in the political debate and will ensure we start to right the wrongs done to our fishermen and our coastal communities over so many years.

In the coming days and weeks, look out for more announcements of famous figures backing this campaign!

This coming week…

We are busy (yes, even though it is Sunday we never stop) preparing two fisheries reports for next week, as well as our usual varied reports on other subjects on other days. These fishing reports will be appearing on GB News’s website as well as being covered in detail by Martin Daubney in his show and when he guest-presents the Farage Show at 7pm. We hope to be able to give readers an approximated idea of when UKFC will be on.

WARNING! We must warn readers in advance that one of the reports next week contains some truly shocking and distressing material. We have spent considerable time debating whether we should show you this and in the end we decided we had to. We will, however, do this in a way that allows readers to choose not to view the most distressing elements if they choose.
